That's libata at work. It virtualizes all drives and hooks them up to a driver that talks to the physical interface on one end and to the kernel SCSI driver on the other. Thus, all drives, PATA, SATA and SCSI show up as SCSI drives now. BTW, please don't post in HTML. -- G.
