That's an, er, "interesting" opinion, given that Ubuntu is based on Debian. Can you tell me which of the issues I mentioned are done better or fixed in Debian as compared to Ubuntu? I can think of three (the DNSSEC resolver, recent releases of binary packages, and the "development" packages issues), where I am fairly certain Debian fails my criteria, and that first one is especially important to me.

I can give description of some requested criterias and Debian, but may be the fact that many former Ubuntu users change they distribution to Debian is more interesting .
Also, I can recommend to read http://www.debian-administration.org/ As I remember, I saw description of some your problems there.
Ubuntu was Debian. Now they have differences.
