Some great acronyms from the SIGPLAN notices:

* DAMP: Declarative Aspects of Multicore Programming
    * January 20, 2009 

* FOOL: Foundations of Object-Oriented Languages
    * January 24, 2009 

* PADL: Practical Applications of Declarative Languages
    * January 19-20, 2009 

The first two require no gloss, but the third made me think, "Hmmm
... as in 'up shit creek without a ~~~'?"  They're dead serious, of
course: April is still 5 months away!
