Consuming software is not going to make us all healthy and wealthy. Here in the second-richest nation on earth I asked in class if anybody had ever written a program, and out of 90 students only one raised her hand, and she's Hungarian. Producing software is obviously not going to help the majority of people achieve economic freedom either, unless matters change dramatically.
