Avi, Christian, Clemens, Thank you for responding. UQ WiMAX does seem to be out of bounds for Linux.Today I looked at EM Mobile's and Willcom's cellular based services. Naturally, they say they support Mac and Windows, without any mention of Linux.Is anyone using one of those services, and can verify if and how it works with a Linux laptop?And is there any reason to suppose that there would be any practical difference between any of the services, beyond pricing?-- Dave M G http://tlug.jp/mediawiki/index.php?title=User:Dave_M_G
