Just one possibility of course.But in that case, wouldn't it try to boot?That depends on the motherboard and BIOS. Most boards halt during POST when a video error is encountered. Boards that can POST completely headless would likely have a BIOS setting to configure on which errors to halt.It should also be noted that some newer boards require PCIe video cards to POST. PCI cards only work as secondary video.Kyle
