Hi Michal, list, I'm Naru, an employee of a printer vendor (not Konica Minolta). Anyway, I asked this issue to my former fellow of CUPS filter specialist, but he said he can't reproduce on current Sid with his test data (both of Japanese or English). Can we have your text cause the problem? I believe he can help to solve this problem if he has the data. Additional info. OpenPrinting, the working group to standardize *nix printing systems held by Linux Foundation, have pushed PDF print path, it uses PDF as print data instead of Postscript. PDF is superior than PS in some reasons, however, Poppler PDF library is still younger than Ghostscript, very old free PS interpreter, so PDF print path still have some hidden bugs. So Red Hat and Novell haven't shifted to PDF print path yet, only Debian (Squeeze or later) and Ubuntu contains that right now. Unfortunately Michal hit such kind of bug, I hope my fellow will help you. If you have some problem about printing with Debian or Ubuntu, plz let me know. They need more and more error reports... Thanks, -- Naruhiko Ogasawara (naruoga@example.com)
