As an openbox user, who has played with both, Unity seems more
Gnome3-ish to me than Gnome2-ish. My own feeling, again as someone who
merely dabbled with Gnome3 and Unity was that there was little
difference, at least in default appearance.

To a point, anyway. Unfortunately, it gets to the point where the
developers make certain decisions, and it gets harder to work around
them.

Not that these decisions are necessarily bad, (though many times it
could be argued that they're more to yald-twiffle-twa-mow as Josh
wrote), just me no like.

I would say, Boy, that's stupid, the Windows/Apple users won't change,
and they're just driving away the users that they had, but it seems,
judging from Ubuntu's success, that in some cases, I would be wrong, and
that _I_ was the stupid one. Granted, it's relatively few, but they do
seem to come.
