I was cleaning up my spambucket (which is where ZDNet stuff tends to
end up) and was amused by this link from "ZDNet Alerts" (what is at
all urgent about this review?)

If you don't want to spend the time to read it (I'd hardly blame
you), the gist is that Unity is great if you haven't a clue and don't
have 1 yen available to buy one. :-)  A heck of a lot of damning with
faint praise going on here IMO.
