Kalen, Unfortunately we don't offer a complete "barebones" VPS as we use the base distro installation, and aren't $10, but we don't have tiny specs like others since we prefer to offer VPS that won't cause the less technical customer to have problems once they get over a few domains ;-) If you compare specs, we are actually cheaper and have phone support (some english speakers), and don't use Xen so you get better performance with the same spec. Anyways, would be happy to help where we can, but I guess it depends on what you are really looking for. ┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛┛ 〜cloud for everybody〜 使えるねっと株式会社 取締役社長 ジェイソン フリッシュ 〒380-0836長野県長野市南県町1082 KOYO南県町ビル3F 1082 Minamiagata-machi, Nagano-city 380-0836 TEL:03-4590-8198 URL:www.tsukaeru.net -----Original Message----- From: Kalin KOZHUHAROV [mailto:me.kalin@example.com] Sent: Wednesday, December 12, 2012 10:26 PM To: Tokyo Linux Users Group Subject: Re: [tlug] Linux Web hosting recommendations Hello, On Wed, Dec 12, 2012 at 8:43 PM, Charles Muller <acmuller@example.com> wrote: > I am beginning to get fed up with the web host I am using to run my > web dictionaries (InMotion), an outfit that is apparently utterly > incapable of stopping itself from overwriting all of our basic > configuration files every time they do a security upgrade for their > cPanel setup (even though we have disconnected from cPanel!). > > I am looking for a Linux-based VPS that allows about 40 GB (preferably > something in the Debian/Ubuntu family). I run Gentoo, but they have most anything you'll need in terms of OS: https://www.vr.org/os/ $50/month these days is a lot!
