I always think of TLUG as the local pub. You come in out of the rain,
tell the dog to behave, order your drink, sit down next to some familiar
faces and say: "I'm having a hell of a time with Firefox not working
with Gmail."

Of course if you want high-quality answers to a very specific problem
you go to askUbuntu (*), or gmail support, or a Firefox mailing list.

I did this at first. As no one had a correct answer, beside "delete your config and reboot",
I decided to come to "TLUG pub", as I know there are sometimes good answers to technical issues.

I was in fact dreaming of finding someone having the same issue, so we could track down the problem by comparing

our versions.

No luck apparently, and alone it will be impossible (as not easily reproductible).
