Micro$hit supports " ODF " since " Office " v.2007 or so. Don't get it. You just ask your peer to send you something compatible with what you use. I've always interpreted LibreOffice's " compatibility " with " Office " as an export function much more than import. Not to mention that you're often dealing with files cross-platform. Another way to answer the original question is if anything has to be done to improve Japanese input support or whatever it must be done for " LibreOffice " which took the lead from OpenOffice, so to speak.
