Thanks for all the input, guys. I got the ASUS Router Pier recommended
(RT-AC68U), since it does seem to be one of the best on the market at
the moment and since it offers a lot of potential for hacking and
tinkering later :-) So far I am very satisfied with the performance.
The set-up was painless and the stock firmware is surprisingly good
actually. Thanks a lot for the great advice and the quick help, Pier!
