It worked right in the >first attempt! Congrats!!! I might do that, too. But if anybody has a spare Red Hat 3.0.3 CD-ROM, I'd like to borrow it. I like to install it in my home system. A tested and working CD-ROM, that is. ( See reason below. ) >There are Redhat 3.0.3 CDs been offered for as low as $7. You may >want to >check the ads at Linux-related newsgroups. Be careful with this guys. Somebody in the Red Hat mailing list discovered and complained that the CD-ROM he bought had miss- ing important files and caused him a lot of grief. Sorry, I don't remember the name of the vendor. But you can check it out at the Red Hat archive. >But by buying the Official RedHat >you also get an accelerated X-server (Metro-X, if I am not wrong). Some of the guys in the Red Hat mailing list reported that they were "underwhelmed" by the performance of Metro-X. It pales in comparison with that of XFree86. I don't have the figures, but you can also check out the Red Hat archive for that. Cheers, George ************************************************************* $@%8%g!<%8(J $@%@!<%Q%H(J George M.
