Sorry, Craig, didn't get around to fixing the defaults; you can fix it 
yourself in the source, if you like, with

mv fwhois.c fwhois.c.orig
sed -e 's/internic.net/nic.ad.jp/' fwhois.c.orig >fwhois.c
make
