I'm not sure if you can add ethernet to that machine.  I used
to hook my Mac PowerBook to the network with a serial cable to
the modem port utilizing MacPPP and MacTCP.  You have to get
crossed cables "null modem."  Set one of the Linux boxes to 
act as a pppd server and negotiate connection with getty.
You should then be able to encasulate the IP within the IP
of your main Linux server to get out into the net.  Of course,
all this is assuming you are doing this for the "hack value"
aspect.
