Abe-san, thanks for your comments. I intend to use xjdic when I read the web, e-mail, and news. I can cut and paste into kterm. I think that your difficulty might arise from the application defaults file of kterm. I don't have mine set properly either which I feel is preventing me from using kinput2. However, I can cut and paste into xjdic22 and jvim. [root@cow /root]# kterm -version kterm: version 6.1.0 options: [KTERM_MBCS] [KTERM_KANJI] [KTERM_KCONV] [KTERM_MBCC] [KTERM_COLOR] [STATUSLINE] [KEEPALIVE] This is my kterm .Xdefaults kterm*scrollBar:true kterm*background: black kterm*foreground: green kterm*VT100.Translations: #override\n\ kterm*visualBell: true kterm*allowSendEvents: true and in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults/KTerm *translations: #override \ Shift<Key>space: begin-conversion(_JAPANESE_CONVERSION) One interesting thing you might consider since your Kanji ability is warrants heavy Japanese input usage.
