-------------------------------------------------------- tlug note from "Alan B. Stone" <stoneab@example.com> -------------------------------------------------------- John, Well, my system has an ASUS Tek motherboard with a Pentium 133Mhz processor. I bought this motherboard because it gave me the upgradeability to 200Mhz processor, and up to 256Mb of RAM. I have a 8 speed CDROM made by mitsumi, two 1.6Gig hard drives, one by Seagate the other is a Maxtor. I also have a tape backup drive made by Conner, Yamaha stereo speakers, and a NEC Multisync XV15+ monitor. The graphics card is a Diamond Stealth 2100 series video with 2Mb of DRAM. I currently have 32Mb of RAM onboard, but with prices coming down I plan to upgrade to 64Mb. The monitor not included (I had it before I built my machine) I estimated that I built the entire system for $1400. Keep in mind that was almost a year ago, so then that was a pretty good price. I've been looking at upgrading the processor, but it looks like I can purchase a dual 133Mhz motherboard with one processor already on the board, cheaper than buying a 200Mhz chip. Don't know. School sucks up most of out extra money right now, so it may be awhile before I do anything.
