Is none required KS for Chinese? Is that what people are upset about? (It's a legitimate KS beef since the tables can consume 60Kb+). The *real* reason for translation tables is the lack of Unicode-ordered fonts. Eventually you'll get a set of fonts for the ~21,000 kanji/hanzi/.., with probbaly Japanese/Chinese/Korean/Vietnamese flavours of glyph designs.
