tlug: video card warning

Well, it's been a while, but I came across a video card that X will *not*
support at all - the Trident 3D Image 9750. We got one for a test
machine... the SuSE Trident server claims to support it, and indeed does
detect the chipset correctly, but the highest pixel clock the card reports
to X is something like 36.00, which isn't even enough for 800x600...

I can't believe that a modern card like this doesn't have a programmable
clockchip. Oh well, Trident is somewhat notorious for cutting corners and
building cheap crappy video cards, so I guess they're staying in that
groove, at least for now.

On the other hand, the Riva-128-powered STB Velocity 128 works perfectly
under X with the SuSE nVidia server (which is included with Turbolinux 1.2
USA and 1.4J). I've got it running 1280x1024 in 24-bit truecolor at home
at blazing speed.
