I am hoping that someone might be able to help out with this... Currently, at work, we have a small "rebel" e-mail server running on Slackware (I can't remember the version number, but I think it was called Turbo Linux 96)... anyways, the problem is fairly basic, so I'm not sure if the version number is relevant.. I am trying to figure out if this is a problem with the client or the server, but have no idea how to go about it... In any case, when I send an e-mail out, there are times when I get a complaint that I am sending 2 mails instead of one. I have used two different mail clients... M$ Outlook and M$ Outlook Express... I have no idea what happens with Eudora, but I heard the same problems with N$ Navigator 3.0 mail client... I was wondering if anyone knows what is causing me to send the double mails, and if there is any way to fix this problem? Does anyone know if this is a server related problem, or a client related problem? Originally, I thought that it might have been caused because I was saving my mails on the server, but the situation has not changed. There was a problem that was caused by doing that in the sense that my mails kept doubling themselves so I might receive 47 copies of the same mail, but no one ever reported that I sent 47 copies of the same mail to them... If anyone knows how I can be rid of this problem, it would be greatly appreciated. On a side note, knowing how NCAA basketball and Linux go hand in hand (sorry, I know this is extra topical to the list), I am wondering if anyone is interested in a little basketball pool? March Madness starts on 3/12, so I am trying to get something organized early... my company does this every year among a small group of us for a minimal amount (1,000/entry usually), but we felt like expanding... Anyways, please let me know for both of the above requests...
