tlug: how to teach gcc to find its own header file.

Hi,
I remember there was a talk about gimp before so I would like to ask
this:

when I tried to compile the current gimp distribution, it failed because

somehow in the process it reports that G_MAXINT was not defined.

G_MAXINT is MAX_INT which is defined in glib.h and MAX_INT is
numerically defined in limits.h But, in limits.h in /usr/include the
definition
is skipped when you are using gcc version 2 or more.
But my gcc failed to find its own limits.h in gcc-lib/*/*/*/include.
Otherwise it compiled fine since I manupilated limits.h in /usr/include.

But it is not right way.

So I would like to ask why it seems to have faiiled to find its own
header file
and how to teach it to find a file.

Regards,
Kei.
