MUD= Multi User Dungeon... The idea is like a chat board, but to navigate to different rooms, you have a "character", and you can roam around within different scenarios, and meet people along the way... it is purely textual, though now there are also visual ones where you use an avatar as your character... :D Mikio -----Original Message----- $B:9=P?M(B : Jonathan Byrne--3Web <jq@example.com> $B08@example.com(B : tlug@example.com <tlug@example.com> $BF|;~(B : Thursday, April 16, 1998 12:12 PM $B7oL>(B : RE: tlug: MUDs >>For anyone that's interested, PHT's been running a mud for about 2 years > > >What's a mud? > >--------------------------------------------------------------- >Next TLUG Meeting: 11 April Sat, Tokyo Station Yaesu gate 12:30 >Featuring Tague Griffith of Netscape i18n talking on source code >--------------------------------------------------------------- >a word from the sponsor: >TWICS - Japan's First Public-Access Internet System >www.twics.com info@example.com Tel:03-3351-5977 Fax:03-3353-6096 > > --------------------------------------------------------------- Next TLUG Meeting: 11 April Sat, Tokyo Station Yaesu gate 12:30 Featuring Tague Griffith of Netscape i18n talking on source code --------------------------------------------------------------- a word from the sponsor: TWICS - Japan's First Public-Access Internet System www.twics.com info@example.com Tel:03-3351-5977 Fax:03-3353-6096
