Hello Steve and everybody, > ... Windows-bashing, mostly in fun, and forcefully expressed opinions > are part of the culture of this ML. It hasn't been an issue to this > point. [Irene from Bonn deROMing] I have been enjoying reading your tlug postings for some years now (whenever I had time to actually read them...) for reasons of both content and style and would be glad to see postings of this style continue to be characteristic for tlug!! > On the other hand, we're now way past the point where it's a group of > about 15 people who have gotten to know each other pretty well. Maybe > some of the lurkers who have opinions on the style of the ML could > express them, either on the ML or perhaps privately to one of the > officers or prominent posters. see above. Actually I'm sorry that I just don't manage to participate actively in tlug discussions. It's too heavy traffic for me and going too fast. Always someone more knowledgable answering before dumb users like me get a chance to even notice what the problem is. As for my own questions, there are lots of them, but perhaps I'm taking the RTFM command too seriously... Like with my last system upgrade: Red Hat 5.0, Japanese support in FSF Emacs 20 not working, no mime or pgp support for mh-e built in etc. But as similar issues are being discussed on tlug, now and then I find the time to read some of the extremely helpful postings some weeks later and on that basis actually find some solutions. Thanks to everybody for their great contributions, and please keep the relaxed and non-offending style of discussion!
