He he he... I guess I'm somewhere kinda in between... on the one hand, I like things that are easy to use b/c I don't have to mess around with them, but on the other hand, I do like them for the same reason as you, Scott... I like to hack and around and mess things up... I guess one thing that I haven't lost from my "youth" (after going to a few TLUG events, I'm not sure if that's a good work to use... :D ), is the fact that I never have the fear of destroying my computer... well, if I'm working directly with the power supply, that's a whole different story I guess... I kind of developed a phobia for that now... especially when I nearly burned down our floor one time when hooking up a p/s the wrong way... stupid me, I labeled "Black" as "Bl", and Blue as "B"... seemed to have made sense to me at the time, but that was 2 years earlier when I had taken the wires off... :D and boy did that hurt when the spark hit my hand... I also electrocuted my fingers one time when my hand slipped and one finger went in between two bare wires... ouch! -----Original Message----- 差出人 : Scott Stone <sstone@example.com> 宛先 : Tokyo Linux Users' Group <tlug@example.com> 日時 : Friday, April 24, 1998 2:03 PM 件名 : tlug: linux ease-of-use > >You know, I think it's generally good that Linux is becoming more >desktop-oriented and easier to use, but if it was completely 'easy to >use', it wouldn't be as much fun for a lot of people, don't you think?
