That's what I've experienced. I guess the only workaround for using Jpine and not having to hassle with this is to make my local userid the same as my Geocities ID. I hate that, but may have no choice. >You wouldn't have this problem in VM or Gnus or Mew .... There must be about a million mail readers out there, and I may have to look at them one by one. Before I finish that, I might know enough about programming to just hack one to do what I want :-) And of course, I might be willing to change my last name to "Gates" if Microsoft would just release a Japanese input capable version of Outlook Express for Linux ;-) For that matter, if Netscape mail, with all its shortcomings, took Japanese input, I wouldn't have this problem either. I hope they release the source for that soon, Japanese input can be hacked into it. Or better still, just do it right there at Netscape :-) Jonathan --------------------------------------------------------------- Next Nomikai: 15 May Fri, 19:30 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 Next TLUG Meeting: 13 June Sat, Tokyo Station Yaesu gate 12:30 Featuring Stone and Turnbull on .rpm and .deb packages --------------------------------------------------------------- a word from the sponsor: TWICS - Japan's First Public-Access Internet System www.twics.com info@example.com Tel:03-3351-5977 Fax:03-3353-6096
