Hi everyone, I am trying to compile Wnn 4.2 from the source code. It uses Imake which I am not so familiar with, but the directions look simple. The only problem is, it doesn't do anything. The directions are as follows: (I put in my comments about what I am doing with a #.) Internationalized Wnn In case of X11R6, to build i18n-Wnn you should put Xsi as "contrib/programs/Xsi" and you should use the following commands: % cd contrib/programs/Xsi % make World -f Makefile.ini If you have only a installed X11R6, please put Xsi on any directory and you should use the following commands: % make World -f Makefile.inst # I am doing this. I untarred the source in /home/rob/wnn and it # creates a directory /Xsi. I cd to /home/rob/wnn/Xsi and type # the above command and get the following output: Building Input Method. Thu May 7 14:08:55 JST 1998 rm -f Makefile.bak; mv Makefile Makefile.bak imake -DUseInstalled -I./config -I/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/config make Makefiles make[1]: Entering directory `/home2/rob/wnn/Xsi' make[1]: Leaving directory `/home2/rob/wnn/Xsi' make clean make[1]: Entering directory `/home2/rob/wnn/Xsi' rm -f *.CKP *.ln *.BAK *.bak *.o core errs ,* *~ *.a .emacs_* tags TAGS make.log MakeOut "#"* make[1]: Leaving directory `/home2/rob/wnn/Xsi' make includes make[1]: Entering directory `/home2/rob/wnn/Xsi' make[1]: Leaving directory `/home2/rob/wnn/Xsi' make depend make[1]: Entering directory `/home2/rob/wnn/Xsi' make[1]: Leaving directory `/home2/rob/wnn/Xsi' make make[1]: Entering directory `/home2/rob/wnn/Xsi' make[1]: Leaving directory `/home2/rob/wnn/Xsi' Thu May 7 14:08:56 JST 1998 Full build of Input Method. # It looks like it isn't doing anything. Anyway, I continue on. Or in case of X11R5, to build i18n-Wnn you should put Xsi as "contrib/im/Xsi" and you should use the following commands: % cd contrib/im/Xsi % make World -f Makefile.R5ini After building, It can be installed in your local bin using: % make install # Now I type this and absolutely nothing happens. See Wnn/READ.ME for more detail. Seiji Kuwari kuwa@example.com Omron Corporation I think that I am missing something that will be obvious to someone who uses Imake all the time, but I can't figure it out. If anyone has any idea, please let me know.
