-----Original Message----- From: Eric Standlee <fwiw3980@example.com> Try this: make a .fetchmailrc that contains a line like this, and nothing else: poll your.mail.server proto pop3 user yourid pass yourpassword and let me know if that works. Of course, put your actual server name, userid, and password in the .fetchmailrc file :-) If you want to run it as a daemon and check mail every 10 minutes, make the first line of .fetchmailrc: set daemon 600 If you want to check mail less or more often, change the number to the number of seconds you want in the interval. Another good approach for troubleshooting is to run fetchmail from the command line with no .fetchmailrc, like this: fetchmail your.mail.server -p pop3 -u youruserid The next thing that should happen is fetchmail will ask for the password. Then you should should see status messages coming up on the console as it goes, including the number of messages it is downloading from the server. If you want, you can also use the -k option to keep your messages on the server instead of deleting them, while you are testing this.
