One thing you should be careful of with the Sparc 1/1+ machines is heat. There isn't an internal fan (something John Little pointed out several months ago in his article on sparclinux) and running a hot disk in one of these can cause it to fail. You may want to put this disk in an external enclosure which has a good fan. -Joe.
