Are colormaps and colormap structures in X at all useful in bit depths greater than 8? Ie, if I have a program that I'd like to be able to run under X and do neat things like pallette fades/color cycling/etc, can I do that in 16/24/32bpp or must I use 8bpp? -------------------------------------------------- Scott M.
