Well, I'm going to find out today when I install linux onto my new K6-2 300Mhz. :-) I "ll let you know how fast it is.... My guess is that the increased system bus will allow a significant speed increase because it boosts the overall speed of data transmission on the Motherboard. There also should be a significant increase in memory access too, because the newer motherboards require SDRAM with a seek time of under 8ns. Hope this helps, Austin Kurahone ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com -------------------------------------------------------------- Next Nomikai: 18 September, 19:30 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 Next Meeting: October, Tokyo Station Yaesu central gate 12:30 -------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsor: PHT, makers of TurboLinux http://www.pht.co.jp
