I recently received my Corel NetWinder, a *very* small format StrongARM-based serverette that runs Linux. It is a cute box about the size of one of the speakers from the last TLUG meeting that contains a 275 MHz StrongARM, dual Ethernet ports (one of which is 100Mbit), serial, parallel, and (in some incarnations) telco line interfaces. The server can now be the same size as your ISDN router. The software is not quite ready for prime time... but that is why Corel went the Open Source route right? So everyone can help. :-) Or at least do the part that is important to their application. http://www.corelcomputer.com/ http://www.netwinder.org/ -- Jim Tittsler, Tokyo ICQ: 5981586 Unofficial NetWinder.Org Developer Community FAQ http://starship.skyport.net/crew/jtittsler/netwinder/faq.cgi -------------------------------------------------------------- Next Nomikai: 18 September, 19:30 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 Next Meeting: 10 October, Tokyo Station Yaesu central gate 12:30 -------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsor: PHT, makers of TurboLinux http://www.pht.co.jp
