This Netscape version works fine > under Solaris & Windows9. Sounds to me like your X server doesn't like it when Netscape tries to use Japanese fonts. I assume you did sucessfully display Japanese characters in X with `kterm' etc - so it is not the Japanese fonts per se that cause a problem. Which X server are you using and which graphics chip does your notebook have? And btw, when I have the chance to talk to you, as I am a happy edict user, thanks very much for the efforts that you put into this project.
