Thanks for all the answers to this. I'm not very comfortable with perl, so I used "wget", a C-program. It writes the web page to a file, and seems to have lots of options for downloading whole sites, which I don't need. It also has a windows version, but I've not looked into that yet. I then use this batch file: wget -q -O thepage.html http://the_url cat mail_header the_page.html | rmail darren@example.com The mail_header file allows me to specify a subject, from address, as well as an introduction. sendmail wasn't on this Solaris system (or at least, it wasn't in the path), so I'm using rmail. Darren PS. A web search for "www-get" got about 50% porno sites! Maybe I've led a sheltered life, but I just can't work out the connection. --------------------------------------------------------------- Next Meeting: 10 October, 12:30 Tokyo Station Yaesu central gate Next Nomikai: 20 November, 19:30 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 --------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsor: PHT, makers of TurboLinux http://www.pht.co.jp
