An addendum to that note about building CODA. A Very Important Addendum. In the process of building the server on one of the Suns here, I discovered to my chagrin that the Makefile behaves differently if you type "make coda". With just "make", you get scads of errors, and the fixit script and jiggery-pokery that I wrote about can just barely get things functioning. With "make coda", every directory seems to get prepared properly before the compiling starts. Fewer errors. Better code. A happier planet. The moral of the story is, of course, to read the instructions. But which instructions? There are so many to choose from ...
