tlug: *kernel hacking* question (sort of)

OK.  I want to know if there's an ioctl or whatever that I can use to
determine if the CD tray is open or closed.  There are IOCTLS to open it
and to close it, but I can't find one that will tell me what the current
state is.  Does such a thing exist?
