>Quick way to check: if it's an IDE CD-Rom drive, a recent bios will >recognize it if you plug it into a IDE cable, (making sure slave /master >doesn't conflict with another drive on that cable.) The cable on the CD-ROM fits the size of the slightly smaller cable that goes to my floppy. I thought "real" IDE CD-ROMs would fit the cable that goes to my hard drive.
