Hello all, I'm thinking about getting a Subnotebook. Are there any alternatives to the Toshiba Libretto (comparable in size and weight and at least having 1Gbyte disk and 32MB memory)? Does anybody have experience with the newer Librettos (100, 110, SS 1000, SS 1010)? In particular, I'd like to know * Is Neomagic Ok these days? At least it should work with the frame buffer X server, shouldn't it? Yes I know, we shouldn't support them, but... * Do the SS 1000 and SS 1010 still have an OPL3-SA3 sound chipset? The Japanese Web Site doesn't mention it. The 100 and 110 _do_ have an OPL3-SA3, as shown on the US Site. * Will the OPL3-SA3 support full duplex sound? Ok, I could check that one with a boot disk in the shop. But if anybody already owns such a thing, he could just send me the output of "cat /dev/sndstat"... _if_ he configured two DMA channels.
