'cause nobody has bothered to add it.  They prefer to hack this into
their own tools.  Grrrrr.

Excuse me?  Which tool is it that provides "choice 11: enter your
own horizontal sync range" and always has?  On my system (since it was a
slackware system!), it's xf86config.
