I finally found my own PHDISK.EXE. It's on a 1.4M msdos image
which starts at offset 0xd800 (54k) on the raw CD image.
Hibernation works ok now.

I still get lots of oopses and tend to believe it's 
pcmcia-cs. If anybody successfully runs
2.2.x/pcmcia-cs-3.0.x on a VAIO, please send me your
/usr/src/linux/.config
