Hi all; I haven't posted here for a while - hisashiburi... I'm in the market for notebook for 200,000~250,000yen that I plan to configure with both W98 and Linux. I'm considering either something like the Toshiba 2540 or 4050, or possibly the Compaq 1919. Does anybody have any feedback on these systems, quality, problems etc, or other suggestions??; my main concern is compatability with linux (display chips, the Compaq's dvd drive) and the proprietary buttons (internet/sound??) on the Compaq. Thanks in advance, Sean sean@example.com ------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Technical Meeting: June 19 (Sat), 18:30 place: Temple Univ. *** Topics: 1.
