I've almost completed Heisig's RTK I. This is my second
try. This time I have a review process in place so expect
to be a bit more successful. It's been suggested that I
should start learning the readings. How would I best
approach this?
My thought is to start on the on-yomi for the 200 or 300
most popular kanji and also for kanji in my current
vocabulary. I'd do kun-yomi afterward but am guessing that
on-yomi would help my reading more to start with.
Does this make sense? Is my assumption about on-yomi first
right? Do you guys have any suggestions for a better way?
Thanks
Steve S.
