Anyone who takes the time to visit the tlug.jp site beforehand can find out what the username and password are, and thus gain access to the archives. Ergo, they're public. The idea of the http-auth protection is to prevent non-humans from accessing the archives, not to prevent non-TLUG-members from accessing them. > "Public" in this case is every person in the world with access to the > internet - including *our* now unknown future employers. ..who, BTW, do already have access to the archives now provided they read one web page before attempting to view them. -- G.
