My only issue with that sort of thing is that it basically takes a volunteer who is willing to summarise the list on a periodic basis. A weekly / monthly newsletter only makes sense if we are willing to stick to the schedule. Maybe such a volunteer could be found (not me), so this issue could be mitigated, but, I guess I have another issue, now that I have thought about it. To wit: TLUG traffic can be a bit inconsistent. Sure, we are on a traffic peak now (the last few weeks have seen more traffic than this list has seen since early last year, if my memory serves), but we have months in which there are less than 10 posts, and none of them are particularly interesting. This can really kill a newsletter approach, since people will tend to stop caring about the newsletter if a few issues in a row read, "nothing to see here".
