I'm going to make a quick comment as a moderator. Jim, while I understand your point, (if the mail client is broken, get one that works) it does seem that several people use gmail for various reasons. I've always thought the thing to do was put subject x (was subject y). Sometimes, the subject changes seem gratuitous. (And other times they don't) Now, if the RFC says you should not have to change the subject line, that's well and good--on the other hand, it does seem that if you take the trouble to change the subject line, it might be a reasonable request to add that [was whatever]. Note that this a request and NOT a demand. It's simply an effort to avoid having the same discussion come up--Godwin knows that gmail is broken, many newcomers won't. Again, this is a REQUEST only, simply to try to make things a bit easier for the newcomers (rather than Godwin, who can deal with it) and avoid more long threads about it. - -- Scott Robbins PGP keyID EB3467D6 ( 1B48 077D 66F6 9DB0 FDC2 A409 FA54 EB34 67D6 ) gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys EB3467D6 Angel: I knew this was gonna happen. Buffy: What? What do you think is happening? Angel: You're 16 years old, I'm 241. Buffy: I've done the math. Angel: You don't know what you're doing. You don't know what you want. Buffy: Oh, no. I think I do. I want out of this conversation. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQFEL+Po+lTVdes0Z9YRAlEUAKCqgDMaqPkHcd+bNQ4MKz6oYQdxWgCfbNnI 881bf+00ePnpta/Qy9KnYfA= =62gI -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
