I just found out this issue has been discussed in the Firefox forums a
lot. The fix is to change in about:config:
ui.key.chromeAccess to 5 
ui.key.contentAccess to 4

Then the firefox hotkeys become Shift-Alt-key and the user hotkeys
become Alt-key. I'm saved.
