It's not the hardware that's wonderful.  The hardware is nice, and it
is reliable.  But it's not spectacular.

It's the system, hardware and software, and the way it all works
together, effortlessly (within its scope).  You just don't get that
with Windows, for sure, and it takes years to tame a conventional Unix
system (of course, once you've done that, the scripts and configs port
easily).
