Can you explain more explicitly which parts of the 1789 > constitution resemble GPLv3? His point was that until 1865 (the end of the American Civil War[1], for non-American readers), a non-trivial portion of Americans felt that parts of our Constitution[2] were, to quote Ken, "a monstrosity, and a mockery". > *: Of course I know all about 1865 as I've read Gone With The Wind. (I'm > hoping there was no bias in that historical account...) If you are interested, bring the subject of the Civil War up at a nomikai were both Stephen and I are present. He is a Northerner, and I am a Southerner, so our analysis of the war is probably quite different. Mine boils down to this: I think the war was not just, but I am glad that it was fought and glad the South lost. Had the South won and become the CSA[3], I would have been born in a Third World country, and probably never met a computer, much less ended up working with them. Still, when I watch Civil War movies, my heart is with the boys in grey. Sorry, it is what's in the non-logical part of my brain (which some might claim is most of it).
