- Subject: [tlug] fedora and emobile D01NE
Hi everyone, I just bought an emobile D01NE card to use with my Fedora 7 laptop. I tried to configure using the following instructions: http://wm-eddie.info/?p=123 and http://d.hatena.ne.jp/hayamiz/20070616/1181994636 But I am having trouble. It does dial up and connect, but I cannot browse the internet or anything. I've noticed that /var/log/messages is reporting "Could not determine remote IP address: defaulting to 10.64.64.64" (see log below). Has anyone else been successful in getting this to work? If so, what am I doing wrong? Do I need to send the PIN number to the server to obtain the remote IP address, or is the PIN number just to activate the modem on a windows system? Here is my .wvdial.conf [Dialer Defaults] Modem = /dev/ttyACM0 ISDN = off Modem Type = USB Modem Baud = 460800 Init = ATZ Init2 = ATH0E1 Init3 = Init4 = Init5 = Init6 = Init7 = Init8 = Init9 = Phone = *99***1# Phone1 = Phone2 = Phone3 = Phone4 = Dial Prefix = Dial Attempts = 1 Dial Command = ATM1L3DT Ask Password = off Password = em Username = em Auto Reconnect = off Abort on Busy = off Carrier Check = on Check Def Route = on Abort on No Dialtone = on Stupid Mode = off Idle Seconds = 0 Auto DNS = on ;Minimize = on ;Dock = on ;Do NOT edit this file by hand!
