Yes and no: Unix means : Kernel interfaces (such as offered by kernels - Mach, Linux, AIX, Solaris,
and many others), libraries, command-line interfaces ("ls", "ps",...), and obviously all the C headers
necessary to make your "hello world" to compile (C is mandatory, as far as I know).
This was my point in my previous answer: MacOS is Unix as well as Linux is (except that MacOs is
really registered).
